Protecting the Environment
CUBUS Solutions takes seriously its leadership role within the Credit Union industry, always maintaining a focus not only on creating helpful new products, but also developing those products to be helpful to the environment.
Based on US Postal estimates, over 687,000 tons of paper are utilized every year in the United States in the form of banking statements, monthly billing statements, the checks used to pay them, and the envelopes in which they are sent. If every U.S. household went "paperless" for its banking and bill paying needs, over 16.5 million trees would be saved. Additionally, the toxic wastewater, energy, and chemicals used to produce the paper would not be introduced into the environment. Finally, the discarded paper would no longer contribute to landfills.
Educating Children
The Go Green Initiative brings together students, teachers, administrators, and parents, aligning them around environmental curriculum. Through practical activities such as recycling, composting and reducing waste, the program encourages environmentally responsible behavior both inside and outside of the classroom.
CUBUS Solutions shares the core belief of these leaders, that an increased commitment to volunteering and civic responsibility builds a stronger society and will enable businesses to "do well by doing good" because it deepens employee, consumer, and shareholder relationships.
